Congratulations, Lucas!
Lucas is a graduate of the engineering program at Cumberland County Technical Education Center. He will be pursuing an education at North Carolina State University with a dual major in Chemical Engineering and Paper Science Engineering. He is a four year varsity swimmer and golfer and has been involved in the community through altar serving, Interact Club, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Lucas not only focused on developing his skills through the ACE program but also through SkillsUSA. Lucas is excited for his future and plans to use his education at NC State to be at the forefront of innovation.
Being part of ACE has changed my outlook on the design and construction industry. By working with mentors, other professionals, and my peers I have not only understood the process of construction from the design to the fabrication of buildings but have also learned the necessary attributes to be an effective leader and collaborator in any setting.
