2022 ANNUAL GOLF OUTING RECAP

On Monday, October 17 th , the ACE Mentor Program of Greater Philadelphia hosted its 3rd Annual Golf Outing at the Union League Golf Club at Torresdale. The event welcomed over 150 members and friends of the design and construction community onto the golf course on a beautiful autumn morning.

Thirty foursomes participated in this year’s event, making it our largest ever. Congratulations to our tournament winners from the Herman Goldner and to longest drive winners Carol Horne Penn from Gilbane and TJ Henderson from Structure Tone.

“This event provides a great opportunity for contractors, subcontractors and design firms to interact in casual, fun setting while raising money for scholarships,” said Golf Chair Dermid Kelly of Structure Tone.

This year nearly $100,000 was raised to support the ACE Greater Philadelphia mentoring program. The money raised will go toward scholarships for current high school students and ACE alumni currently enrolled in higher education and focusing on an A-C-E (architecture, construction, or engineering)
related career paths.

“We are so grateful to our board and committee members for raising awareness for our program,” said Melissa Raffel, Director of ACE Mentor Program of Greater Philadelphia. “The scholarship money, and exposure to career option in the architecture, construction and engineering fields, contribute to real change and opportunity for these students.”
