Strengthening the Pipeline!

Our students at Pottsgrove High School were given a brief overview of how PVC pipe is used on mechanical projects and the importance of team work and cooperation! Teams were formed and only the blind folded student could touch the PVC pipe. The remaining students had to read the drawing and provide directions to the blind folded student in order to assemble the PVC pipe in the proposer configuration.

After the exercise was completed, a discussion occurred about what went right and what could have done better.  Pre-planning was at the top of the list followed by better communications among the team members.. An important lesson learned by all!

Special thanks to long-time mentor Marie Wright from Worth & Company, for leading this interactive exercise!
