On Wednesday October 12, we held an evening to support the essential and meaningful work as an ACE Mentor – Hosted by WRT!
During this new orientation session, we will explore the unique role that mentors play in the lives of young people, through your perspective in this role. We will share best practices for making mentoring substantive and enjoyable, as well as supporting one another around the areas that can be difficult, confusing, or sometimes intimidating. The second half of the evening will be dedicated to planning for the year ahead – all attendees will leave the session with a calendar for their mentoring sessions, as well as tools for creating sessions with students that are fun, meaningful, interesting, and simple to facilitate.
