ACE Team 7 reached new heights as the students and mentors stood on the 54th floor of the Comcast Technology Center, soon to be the tallest building in the Philadelphia skyline, during a site visit on Tuesday, February 7 2017. Students were lead on a guided tour of the active construction site for Comcast Technology Center where they got to experience the physical product of all the ACE fields they have been learning about throughout the year. The mentors were able to show the students a wide variety of the construction process ranging from in progress structural construction to installation of mechanical systems and interior fit out due to the immense size of the Comcast Technology Center project. Seeing all of the different trades working simultaneously on different levels of the building gave the students an idea of the amount of coordination and scheduling it takes to complete a project. This site visit was a unique experience that the team will never forget!
