We are excited to announce that ACE Greater Philadelphia will be offering online AND in-person programming options this year!
High School students interested in pursuing a career in the design and construction industry are invited to participate in the ACE Mentor Program of Greater Philadelphia’s 2021-2022 programming year. From October through December, students and mentors can opt to participate in our virtual program — ACE360 Online. In January 2022, we will be welcoming participants back to in-person programming. No matter which option participants choose, they will engage in comprehensive career exploration and professional development programming!
Online sessions through ACE360 Online will explore architecture, engineering, construction, interior design, and other affiliated industries. Professional Development sessions focused around the soft-skills necessary for career advancement after high school – skills such as resume building, interview skills, and email/social media etiquette – will also be presented.
In-person sessions will encourage collaboration between students and mentors on mock design projects. For those ready for a challenge, ACE Greater Philly will also be offering.the opportunity to participate on Design and Build Project Teams where students, mentors, and community members work together to develop and implement a design for an underused public space. This process culminates with a Build Day.
In both the online and in-person programs, students will have the opportunity to speak directly with and learn from industry professionals. Students are able to ask questions, participate in fun activities, and make professional connections which will help benefit them toward their professional goals.
