The ACE Mentor Program of America, Inc. (ACE) helps mentor high school students and inspires them to pursue careers in design and construction. Tours of workplaces and construction projects are a valuable and engaging way for students to experience work life indirectly and, in the case of job sites, to observe in action some of the design principles and construction techniques they have discussed in mentoring sessions.
The East Norriton Team had planned for two site tours this year! During this trip, they went to the Gallery Project (Fashion Outlets of Philadelphia) on March 16th, where Natalie Bradshaw (Skanska ACE Mentor) gave the students an incredible tour of the site and a thorough explanation of the project. They had 13 Students, and 5 Mentors with us on the tour.
