We are checking in the the All-Girls team hosted by JKRP Architects!
Each student is developing their own study models of the Gallery (mall) entrance. They are creating 3d forms from their previously prepared schematic plans and bubble diagrams. Half of the students are working in Google Sketch-Up and the other half are creating physical models. During the session, we discussed physical modeling techniques, Sketch-Up features, and the various ways that architects make the leap from sketches to diagrams to models.
The ladies are working on computers that have been graciously donated by the McLean Contributionship! Thank you so much for providing these amazing tools for the ACE Mentor Program and helping to BUILD FUTURES in our industry!
